I'm in love with you

After tossing and turning back and forth, I finally gave up and quietly crept into the bathroom.  I turned on a soft light and then reached over to open the faucet. Soon, steaming hot water filled the tub.

A hot soak is what was needed. The heat soothes my pain and I settle back asking the Lord for relief.

It's 2 o'clock in the morning and I allow myself to dwell on the days events..... and what is still coming.

The pocket door slides open and in comes my sleepy husband with a book in his hand.  He pulls up the ottoman and sits down beside me. Opening the book, he reads to me from the Word.

It washes over me with soothing promises and gentle reminders of His love, His faithfulness and His compassion

In those moments when Joe thinks he can do nothing to alleviate my discomfort, he faithfully brings me back to the One who can.

My body stops aching and my spirit is revived.

"Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart..." Psalm 27:14

Soon I am back beneath the covers, snuggled up against my man, resting gently on his shoulder and thinking to myself how much I love him.

I'm ever so thankful for his awareness of when I am hurting and his watch over me.

I have been waiting all my life for this morning
Just to wake up next to you holding me
And your head is resting gently on my shoulder
Like you’re whispering to me
I’m in love with you
I’m in love with you
So glad I found you
I’m in love with you
